Jerry Murphy is a trainer, speaker and an expert witness in matters relating to residential real estate. As a career professional, he combines his sales, marketing and entrepreneurial skills to have a positive effect on all areas of his involvement.

Gerald "Jerry" Murphy's professional career has been spent combining his experiences in residential real estate and commercial banking. Currently, he serves as Managing Broker for the Bonita Springs Office of the Naples headquartered Downing-Frye Realty, Inc.

Jerry is also a frequent real estate trainer and speaker, helping agents develop and enhance their marketing, sales and language skills so they can reach higher levels of success.

From 2009 to 2014, Jerry was the Managing Broker and District Manager for Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, overseeing the offices in the Naples, Bonita, Estero and Fort Myers markets.

Prior to that, Murphy owned and operated Murphy Realty Preferred Homes in Monmouth County, NJ. Started in 1993 with five associates, he grew the firm to become one of The Top Ten real estate companies in closed sales. By 2005, he had five offices with 300 agents. That same year the company was acquired by NRT, a subsidiary of Realogy Corp., which operates the company owned offices of Coldwell Banker. Also, Jerry had been President of Hovnanian Realty, where his Marketing and Sales Plans were responsible for the record sellout of many of the development communities for the building subsidiary V S Hovnanian Group (where he also served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing). 

Jerry had an extensive career, not only in real estate, but also in commercial banking in New Jersey. He was an intrinsic part of the start-up of the Shrewsbury State Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer. He was also an organizing founder of Tinton Falls State Bank, having served as Chairman and Director prior to its sale to Commerce Bank Corp., a multi-billion dollar bank holding company. Additionally, Jerry served as Vice Chairman and Director of Commerce Bank Shore until its merger with T D Bank.

Jerry was asked to speak at the Annual Relo Conferences in Miami and Providence, RI, as well as at the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Service Northeast Sales Rally in Cooperstown, NY. He was the keynote speaker of the Master Marketing Group Program for 26 offices of the Better Homes and Gardens franchise in New Jersey. Currently he speaks to and works with real estate professionals in the Southwest Florida markets of Naples, Bonita Springs and Estero.
